Many years ago, my family owned lots of land across the west of Jakarta, Indonesia which was predominantly hutan (jungle). Now sold off and turned into a concrete jungle, I often imagine what Jakarta looked like for my mum, my nenek (grandmother) and beyond.
Hutan was painted with gouache on A4 Watercolour Paper and printed on 300gsm Matt Cardstock on A4 and A5 sizes.
